Elastomer Bumpers

Elastomer Bumpers
Elastomer Bumpers

The curves and schematic shown on the right show size comparisons of elastomer bumpers from each product group that have approximately the same peak force, but show the flexibility of the product line to have distinctly different deflections.

Energy Kinetics, Inc., long known for its engineered and extensive selection of “off-the-shelf” shock absorbers, now introduces three lines of high performance elastomer bumpers.

Three distinct versions of load vs. deflection characteristics are included in the line.

All bumper materials incorporate ultraviolet light inhibitors to increase product life in outdoor environments. Elastomer Bumpers are made from an inert grade of polyester polymer, making them lightweight, compact in size, and exceptionally durable. These elastomer bumpers are field-proven to have more energy absorbing capacity per volume and weight than comparable urethane or rubber bumpers.

In addition to a large inventory of ready to ship elastomer bumpers, Energy Kinetics offers custom designs and prototypes with short delivery times. Free estimates and engineering assistance in sizing products to applications is offered along with static and dynamic load/deflection sheets for each of the elastomer bumpers.

For technical data/specifications or further information on this new line of high performance elastomer bumpers, use our contact form or write or call us at the above address and phone number.

A Series Bumpers

…provide the maximum amount of energy absorption in the minimum amount of space.  This maximized absorption results in minimized end loads as compared to urethane bumpers and rubber bumpers.

A-S Series Bumpers

…are designed for applications where the energy absorption need not be maximized for the space available.  This results in a significantly lower end load with only slightly longer stroke as compared to urethane bumpers and rubber bumpers.

R Series Bumpers

…are designed for applications where a long, soft energy absorption is required.  This equates to the minimum end load with the maximum stroke as compared to urethane bumpers and rubber bumpers.
